Cementing Plugs

Cementing PlugTwin Pines provides bottom cementing plugs used in oil and gas drilling, specifically hydrofracking. Cementing plugs are rubber plugs used to separate the cement slurry from other fluids, reducing contamination and improving performance.

Twin Pines Cementing Plugs

Our bottom cementing plugs are manufactured using high performance rubber and precision casting which provide strong wiping action necessary for keeping the casing clean and allowing the cement slurry to be injected into the casing without being contaminated by other liquids. The bottom plug is launched ahead of the cement slurry to minimize contamination by fluids inside the casing prior to cementing.

Once the plug is seated, controled pressure ruptures the rubber diaphragm at the top of the core, allowing the cement slurry to pass through after the plug reaches the landing collar.

The top plug has a solid body that provides positive indication of contact with the landing collar and bottom plug through an increase in pump pressure.

Twin pines offers cementing plugs in a variety of sizes for both oil and gas drilling applications. For size information or assistance in selecting the cementing right plug for your operation, contact Twin Pines.
